Yeah, me too, sorta. Cutting over new crossings at Edmonds. ...

Left the house at 7 p.m. Cutover started at 11 p.m., left Edmonds around 7 a.m. to tie up at Interbay, then back home at 10:30 a.m. Nice chunk of OT, though.

Edmonds' two crossings soon to have obnoxious automatic horn system. ...

Ah, FEA! Back then it was Ansys. I used to do that and then moved over to Computational Fluid Dynamics. Similar idea but with wet stuff. Then I went into management and lost all the fun. Good memories though!

Oddly, Moose never used Ansys ... Elfini, Patran, and now HyperMesh ... ... ... Ohhh, CFD, the OCD Aero guys use CFD programs, not sure who's, but seems like black box stuff to this moose ... Moose like structural analysis, and there's nothing like good ole hand analysis too ... Now, back to trains...

My hotel on wheels which I will be in this weekend

    Jayco.jpg

To make it somewhat train related, there is the main UP line just the other side of the power station between the yard and the road. That is the line the Amtrak to and from LA travels on, I have seen it a couple of times from there.
