Was putting a ladder on my electronic billboard and I wondered if I could make my own ladders on the 3D printer. Well, I can. I used Tinkercad to duplicate the ladder's measurements and created the .stl. The ladder model is a Plastruct #90671.

Using the standard 0.4 mm nozzle, I made a couple, but at first they didn't stick to the build plate, so I had to add a brimm. That did the trick. As you can see it's pretty good looking. It looks a lot better now, after I touched it up with fine sandpaper.

I'm now making 5 more after downsizing the brimm somewhat, I don't think I need that much extra support.

Just an opinion and only my opinion so take it for its worth (nothing)

I am not on board with 3D for N scale yet. I am not really on board with 3D for HO yet. It just seems to still be a bit away from the smoothness and thinness of plastic. Texture is something for whatever reason my eye is always quick to catch, probably why I shouldnt be in N scale lol. Again only my opinion, but I am hopeful.

I will just throw this out there... I’m hoping for clear caboose lanterns in N. Clear resin or plastic if they can get small enough now. If anyone hears of anyone doing any, I certainly need a few for my cabooses so I can finish lighting them.
