Default Lionel acquisition of Model Power

I just got off the phone with the Model Power parts person (was trying to get some parts for a kitbash), and he told me that he didn't have the parts I need, and won't be getting them because Lionel acquired the Model Power line late last year. A quick Google search hasn't turned up any information; most people seem to think that they only acquired Mantua and the HO scale stuff, but my phone call doesn't seem to back that up. Does anyone have any more information on that? Or, failing that, does anyone have some smokebox doors for their 2-6-0 or 4-4-0 in graphite?

Also, be sure to stock up on whatever you need from MRC while they still have stock, because I did find this (rather vague) quote:
"Spoke with the Lionel rep. They did acquire the N tooling, however have no near future plans for them."
"The curious but intense pleasure that is given to many people by the watching and the study of railway trains, their engines, and the detail of their organization is both an art and a mystery. It is an art because the pleasure to be had is exactly proportionate to the informed enthusiasm one puts into it. It is a mystery because, try as one will, it is impossible to explain to others exactly in what the pleasure consists."

How did you talk to a Model Power parts person? I thought they went out business 5 years ago. Or do you mean an MRC parts person?

The smokebox front seems to be an issue with Model Power steamers. I used a bit of rubber cement to affix mine and keep it 'put', yet still removable.
