Default Boxpok Discs for Model Power 4-6-2

Has anyone successfully swapped in same diameter, boxpok drivers on a Model Power pacific?

    hi GhengisKong,
I do not think anyone makes such a driver.

you may want to try to glue a disk to a MP driver?
    (cutouts for crank etc...)
I once saw that some one had added modeling putty to a driver
    to create a Scullin disk.

some combo of the two is likely to work.

the more expensive route is to find brass drivers.
you will get an entire loco to go with those parts....

and then machine/lathe the MP gears or driver hubs to fit into the MP chassis.

If that last option is possible, perhaps you can 3d print a driver center?
the MP driver is a plastic center... I'd add a center hub made of brass for that oh so easy to fail
axle to plastic driver center problem.

you are looking at one of the more difficult steam engine modeling challenges.

You could use the Kato GS4 inserts and sand them super thin and put over the MP driver?

Many of the Kato JNR locomotives have boxpok drivers. A lot depends on the diameter of the driver as to what your best option could be...
