    Question Kato TGV Replacement Pantographs

    Hi all,

I acquired a Kato TGV Sud-Est(10-198). It's missing the Pantographs. My manual shows the pantograph part # S14701F.

Does anyone know if there is a replacement part
    # or where to find a comparable part.
    Thanks

    Jerry

I couldn't find the part on the Kato site for the US or Japan. You could try contacting them.

You could also try Hobby Search.

Try contacting DM Toys in Germany. They handle Kato European trains including the TGVs. You could try phoning Reynauld's, since they also handle Kato European trains, but they are not very prompt about getting parts. Before I knew about DM Toys, I bought some Sommerfeldt replacement pantos for my Kato Thalys TGV from Euro Rail Hobbies. They fit well enough and are much sturdier than the Kato pans.
    Cheers!

We're on the same page. I've emailed Kato, but haven't heard back yet. I regularly use HobbySearch, but have come up empty.

Some have suggested using Kato part #11-421 or 11-422, and greenmax PT71a

The biggest issue I have is finding the correct or compatible part number. I know the original part number, but I don't have a picture of the old part to help find a new one.
