Default Can I run 2 Rail Diesel Cars together?

    Hello all,
I have two self-powered Kato RDCs that I'd like to run coupled together. Is this ok or will it strain the motors? I tried running them uncoupled and they do seem to run at slightly different speeds. So I was wondering if one motor would be pushing the other too much if they are coupled together.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Have both locos been fully broken in yet? That might explain the speed difference

They have not been run much at all. How long should the break in period be?

    The longer the better

Re your original question - as long as they're ballpark you shouldn't have any problems. The only real risk (if the speeds were seriously far apart) is that one could cause the other to derail.
