Thanks! I actually wanted 4014 to be a little closer (less sign, more 4014), but it was moving awfully fast and I didn't time it right. By the time I could take a second picture it had already roared past.

Was it moving faster than what it was in my video?
It seemed to be just crawling that day.

I was too busy with my camera to notice what happened to this guy, but I do know that people were screaming at him to get away from the tracks. Isn't that steam discharge pretty hot?

God I detest Foamers like that!
They have no concern whatsoever that they are in others pictures, as long as THEY get their shot.
I had several in my video as well and others who was standing behind us were screaming at them to get the hell out the way.
I would think it would be pretty hot? Too bad he didn't find out for you.

I'm sure they were making up time because they were about an hour and twenty minutes late leaving Albert Lea. I heard them discussing some valve timing issues which they had to sort out. Due to leave Albert Lea at 9:30 am but didn't until 10:50 am. Already speeding up before leaving town on former Rock Island track. The same track we took to St. Paul when we were kids.

    It was magnificent.

Just a self-obsessed foamer who could care less about courtesy. Knuckleheads like him are why I won't describe myself any longer as a railfan.

If he had been scalded, doubtless he would have wanted to file suit against UP.

I can't imagine that any pictures he got standing that close turned out worth a damn. Unless of course there was some particular rivet that he really wanted to get a nice closeup shot of, lol.

Closer to town there was a parent with two small kids right on the tracks...some else had to do some parenting for him and yelled for the kids to get off the tracks! You can"t fix STUPID!!!!!!

So it's supposed to be overnight here in Cedar Rapids tonight, but closed to the public announced just this morning. Looks like I'll need to take some guerella tactics to get a shot. I'll see what I can do.
