    Great video as always. Do you know what the black roadbeds are all about? Like at the 45 second mark, looks like might be landscaping fabric laid over the ties?

    Where locomotives or any cars carrying liquids are regularly stopped -loading/unloading or the normal 'parking' point for locomotives- absorbant matting is placed to catch leakage or spills. It's an environmental protection thing to prevent contamination of the underlieing soil and nearby waterways.

    Great video. It's so nice to watch a professionally made, informative video instead of the drivel so many put up on youtube these days.
