    Default NWSL remaining in business!

Great news! Northwest Short Line, purveyor to the world of fine gears, motors and other cool stuff, will carry on.

Owner Dave Rygmyr announced earlier this year that NWSL would likely shut down. Sadly, he lost his wife to cancer last fall.

An employee has acquired the business.

Yes, most of their products are for HO and larger. But NWSL has long been a bulwark of the hobby, having debuted in Seattle in 1959.

Dave was also publisher of Tall Timber Short Lines until 2008. The assets of that title have also been acquired. Maybe we'll see that magazine of logging railroads return!
