Default North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders Swap Meet

So I'm planning on attending the North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders Swap Meet this Saturday probably around noonish. I posted this event in the calendar.

Unfortunately, the calendar is not as flexible as I'd prefer. Saturday the swap meet is 10-5, Sunday 10-3.

    Oh, that would be fun!

I'm not expecting it to be on the same par as Boeing's, of course, but perhaps I'll make some modeling connections here. And you can spread Moose good cheer, with just a hint of a stampede.

Can you use a butterknife for that, or does it require more like a canoe paddle?

Definitely a canoe paddle, due to the abundance.

What's curious to me is that this swap meet runs two days. There are fewer than 100,000 people in this county, and it's a fair drive to Port Angeles from Pugetopolis. So I'm wondering where all the interest comes from for a two-day model railroad swap meet all the way out here.

Not carping, just musing aloud. ...

On the other end of the spectrum Paul, there was show in Omaha that was a one day show for 5 hours: 9-2
    Why bother?
I get it, if you're going there to browse, 5 hours is more than enough.
But how many vendors would make a long trip for just 5 hours?

Exactly, Allen, two days and in a nice town to boot must be working for vendors, because this show is a going concern. One day would just not be worth it, I suppose. It's a bit of a trek.

I just wonder where all the customers come from. Although Sequim has some money, for certain. ...

Ohh, yay! I will see you there, barring I don't get a trouble call. I'm on call this weekend. Would really like one big railroad to leave me alone so I can enjoy the small stuff!

Looking to hire out for stampeding to recoup what you spent? And empty wallet indicates that it was more of a 'quality' than 'quantity' sort of show...
