    Default Congrats to Allen H!

I waited several days to post this, thinking there must be another Running Extra reader on this forum who'd say something. Guess not.

So a hearty congrats to @Allen H. for his article in this month's issue of Model Railroad Hobbyist Running Extra! Anytime an N scaler gets published in one of the general interest hobby mags, it's noteworthy, at least to me.

You have to be an online subscriber to RE to see the article, which costs a couple bucks a year compared to the free version of MRH.

Congrats Allen , wouldn't have known if not for your post Paul , I don't even download the free magazine anymore, so certainly not the paid version of a magazine that would always be free.

I'm here Paul! Just been a little preoccupied.
Also just not one to toot my own horn, but I thank you for the shout out!
Plus since they decided to put it in the "paid for" version, wasn't sure how many would see it either?

Thanks for all the kind comments.

I wish I could post a link to it, but afraid they'd frown upon that.
But as Paul said, it's only $2.99 to read the one issue, which does have some nice articles in it and you get the free vesion as well in the same download.
Yeah I had to buy an issue as well.

Now that it's out I'll get some pics posted here or maybe just post everything to my blog and stick a link to it in my thread?

For those that hasn't seen it, when I started on the first building in Fordyce, I wanted to do something a little different for the roof
on the new building. I had planned to paint it to look like tar paper/rubber membrane and so I looked on Google Maps
for a pattern. Found one and hit the "Print Screen" button to save it as an example.
Then it hit me? Why not just try printing it and gluing it to the plastic roof?
Which is exactly what I wound up doing. It took a little work with some editing software, but it worked out.

Here's the before and after pics (at least I know I can post these).
