    Moose perhaps now has no Christmas money remaining and still has an expensive gift to buy for Mrs. Moose. Mrs. Moose is highly intelligent and will not be fooled by phrases such as "jeweled" cases, which are actually clear plastic boxes for tiny model freight cars.

    @Paul Schmidt

    Actually, to be an honest moose, this is the last big MRR purchase for the layout - well, except a certain item Moose has on reserve with Hatton's. After that, and it's all about finishing the layout and running 7 1/2 years of accumulated trains!

    Finally pulled the trigger on a resin 3D printer. Ordered it today on Cyber Monday, so the stock photo will have to do until it arrives.

    I have been patiently waiting for the price to get low enough on a resin printer that should be capable for N scale items. Can't wait!

    I'm not allowed to run the train, the whistle I can't blow. I'm not allowed to say how fast the Railroad Train can go.
    I'm not allowed to shoot off steam, nor even clang the bell. But let the damned Train jump the track, and see who catches hell!

    Orders trickling in ...

    Maxon motor drives with flywheels by SB Modellbau - for repowering my older locomotives (those with 3-pole motors).

    Transfers for a new project (like I don't have enough already) ... but more about that hopefully later this month

    Hi Moos2013 and Bo D.

    I also ordered the ELIGOO 3D printer today.

    I am currently using Paint 3D to create simple furniture(desk, shelf, filing cabinet, etc.) for building interiors.

    If I'm successful with these, I plan on moving to doors, windows and stairways.
    Happy Modeling

    Hi Bo D.

    I found my first "undocumented feature" in the Eligoo Mars printer. The sliced files have to be placed in a folder on the USB drive. I put them in the base directory and the printer couldn't find them.

    My printer arrived and the first print failed due to mechanical failure...I did not tighten the grub screws on the platen tight enough. I really torqued them down prior to the second print. The resin did harden and everything else seemed to be working OK.

    My second attempt is running now, printing Rockola Jukeboxes. Nice blocky shape.
    Happy Modeling
