ohhh...Been bad. Blew two months train budget at the LHS and hardware store.
Last Thursday I bought a set of Ryobi battery power tools for layout construction.
Today's purchases was a Digitrax Zephyr Xpress DCS52, a Kato electric turntable and 2 roundhouses (need 1 more).
Small items are 5 packs of rail joiners, 2 Vallejo paints and 3 Loksound speakers in enclosures to go with the Tsunamis I recently bought.
    Cheers,

A few odds and ends this month. First photo, some vehicles from Brian Fedoroff. Really nice work by him. Eager to paint them up. They are a 1976-77 Chevrolet Vega like my mom once owned, 1961 Plymouth Valiant 4 door like my Aunt owned, 1968 Chevrolet pickup like my family business used, and finally, two truck cabs, a 1963-70 Ford N series cab, 1968 Ford F850 cab/wheels. The cat excavator was off e-bay. I planned to replace the bucket with a claw for moving aluminum bales at my metal recycling business. Unfortunately, the bucket is a one piece with the arm so that might not work. I will have to find another machine to use. Second photo is an order from Model Train Stuff. A set of Railway Express Miniatures crane attachments, a drag line, a wrecking ball and a claw. I put a better shot in the third photo. Some grab irons for use in different places, maybe to make some truck mirrors. Some truck refrigeration unit castings. The dust monkeys from Woodland scenics I use on a caboose that is part of my track cleaning train. Third photo is from Toy Train Heaven (English's mail order arm). I really find those micro brushes useful. The Gold Medal Models fencing is for the metal recycling business. Gotta protect the scrap aluminum and steel from thieves! Cheers! Maurice

Here's a post Moose might like. An accumulation so far this month:
    IMG_2766-800x600.jpegIMG_2764-800x600.jpg

Three Con-Cor 2-10-2 bought on separate Ebay auctions. They join their other 8 sisters (yes, that's 11 total. I may have a problem.) in the queue for conversion (someday) to PRR J1 2-10-4's and C&O T1 2-10-4's.

The struggle is that there is another on Ebay right now... Do I need 12?

Ohhh myyy. Time to break out the popcorn! Moose has a few that could use with some conversions to something interesting, so will be keeping on eye these developments!

I actually knew the answer to that... If I have 12, then I can evenly split between T1's and J1's. See? Now I have a reason!

If you have twelve, then that brings you one step closer to the 'must have' number of thirteen And thirteen is just that little bit nearer to the 'can't live without' amount of fourteen. Which is......

    So, yes yes yes
    Thanks, Tom

Expect nothing except the opposite of what you expect, and then expect it to be something other than that ! Then that's about what it will be

Got myself a fairly cheap flightcase to make a portable solution for the LokProgrammer and the ECoS command station.
The plan is to build everything into the box including a programming track, so most of the cable clutter is hidden away and the whole thing is easy to bring along to a modular meet or just out of storage at home.
External track like a test oval is to be connected by built-in XLR connectors, which I'm using as standard anyway.

Here's a quick mockup with the ECoS and my current test track strip. You get the idea.

Joining the steam from earlier this month are 8 undecorated Kato F7B units. My LHS got the last of them from Walthers. Also I got the last 5 undecorated 1937 40' boxcars from Intermountain.
