Default Replacement Wheels for N Scale Cars and Trucks?

Many of the Cars, Trucks, and Buses I have purchased for my layout do not have realistic wheels and tires. They are typically too small or too narrow and I am not sure why this is the case.

As such I was wondering what options I have for replacing them. Does anyone know of replacement parts for models like these in N Scale?

    Thanks.

    Dave

    Dave,

Some of the 1:150 scale models (such as TomyTec) have great looking wheels that can be adapted to 1:160 scale models. A very old Bachmann Eldorado without any modifications is on the left in the photo below, and another example of the model with the wheels from a 1:150 scale Tomix model is on the right.

Of course finding a "donor" model can be a challenge. Sometimes the TomyTec car collections contain one or two 1:150 scale models that will look OK with 1:160 scale models, while the others in the collection are good only for parts.

You can check out some of the Tips 'N' Tricks for upgrading N scale vehicles starting here: http://nscalevehicles.org/tips_n_tricks.php

If you have specific vehicles that you want to upgrade, I can check to see if I have one that has been upgraded.
