Default Model Power/MRC 2-6-0 Mogul Help

Hey all, I just picked up a Model Power/MRC 2-6-0 Mogul. It comes with several cosmetic options but no instructions on how to swap out the pieces. The one I wanted to do was change out the Smoke Box Door with the Center light. I know there is an additional piece, the Prism for the Center light, that also needs to be attached. Anyone have any tips/instructions on how to do this without breaking it? Thank you.

Been awhile back that I have had one apart- BUT , if you remove the smoke stack it will release the H/L cover-
look here at hoseer.net for some parts details.

Useful site. The 2-6-0 diagram is an older one, not for the current run, tender pickups are the older style but still useful.

Thank you. I see how the smoke stack locks the prism in place, but is does not show you how to remove it. I will have to look at it more carefully.

Ok, for anyone that wants to know. In order to replace the Smoke Box Door with the Center light, you first need to pull off the smoke stack. It is a force fit, so a gentle tug straight up should do it. Once that is out, it unlocks the door and prism bar. Gently pry out the Smoke Box Door. There are three pieces attached, the Door, Light prism, and engine weight. You should be able to remove the prism from the Smoke Box Door headlight. Be sure to look at how the Prism and weight fit together, the weight can be put on backwards and it will not fit back in the smoke box. Now the fun part. The weight is a force fit on the Prism bar. There is a small plastic tab on the bottom of the Prism that fits in a hole inside the weight. You should be able to pry the weight straight down to remove it. It is tight. I did not realize this and tried to slide it off. I ended up breaking the tab off in the weight . Using a pin, I was finally able to remove it from the hole. I found it easier putting the Prism and weight in the smoke box, then snapping the new door in place, again be sure to look at how it fit so you do not install it up side down. Once the door is in, replace the Smoke Stack. The Stack actually locks the Prism in place. That is it. It would have been nice if ModelPower/MRC included instructions for each of the replacement options, but... Thank you Woodone for the tip to remove the Smoke Stack first. It saved me quite a bit of frustration.
