Default Amherst Railroad Hobby Show 2020 in pictures

Here are some pictures I took of the show. Four building totaling 10.2 acres. 15,500+ total attendance for the entire weekend.

I was part of the T-Trak contingency. I went with a few members of my club. Not my usual 300+ pictures as I concentrated on the new stuff. OK, I was shopping too.
Some great bargains to be had!

I also participated in Winterfest and yours truly came in First Place for prototype photography and Second Place for model photography. Thanks to N-Scale Architect who donated the gift certificate for First Place and Fox Valley Model for the freight car for Second Place.

Great shots of the show Mike, very impressive indeed. One of these years I'll make it to Amherst hopefully. Congrats on the Photography wins, I'd say they were well deserved
    Cheers Tony

Great pictures! Thanks! Much better N scale coverage compared to the Many Ranting HOer's site.

Wombat, you should go! It is definitely a bucket list item for train guys. And where you live it's driveable. I met N Scalers there who flew in from Florida and Oklahoma!

If you do go, let me know and I'll meet you there!

    Mike,

That sounds like a great idea and I'll definitely let you know when the time comes - that'd be great!

Where did you hear the attendance number? I got my number in an email from Fay Chin who is part of Winterfest, T-TRAK division. Just trying to see which number to use as I talk about the show with others.

Agree! Next year I'm going to concentrate on shots like this. The human aspect of model railroading.

I took it from their show web page: www.railroadhobbyshow.com

Great shots of the show. I’m guessing this is a tool make fencing. Am I correct?

Great photos, thanks! And you certainly deserved to win the photography contests.

Love the Radio Station with old-time open-reel tape decks and wall of electronic components!

And I agree the last shot was the best.

    Thanks again,
    Dave

John, thanks! I was not doubting you, just trying to figure out who to believe and then brag to those who didn't go. Certainly can't argue with the show organizers! I'm glad the attendance was that high. You keep hearing the MRR is dying...

Yes! It was for HO but they are going to make an N version. The key is the "end" piece (opposite side of what you posted) that gives the N spacing. The device you see here is just what keeps the spools in place and rolls the four lines out correctly.
