    Default JMRI printer problems

    I just got a new printer and it prints in microscopic letters?

    I went to Settings and made the font 14 but nothing changed

    Help!

    Gene,

    A (loosely) related discussion over the last few days at the JMRI group:

    https://groups.io/g/jmriusers/topic/operations_manifest_printing/71072046?p=,,,20,0,0,0::recentpostdate%2Fsticky,,, 20,2,0,71072046

    One tip in there is to print to PDF first, ensure everything looks acceptable, and then print the PDF. If your OS is relatively recent (Win 7(?) or later, maybe) there should be an option to try that. I'm not at all sure where this problem might be originating. I presume that no other program has this unusual output? Text editors, browsers, etc. all print normally?

    thanks Sam,

    all other devices like my wife's phone print normally. only JMRI prints in very small fonts. the original font was 11 and I tried 12 then 14 with no change. I do believe that I saw a 'Print to file' on jmri and if so will give that a try.

    I'll let you know the results

    @samusi01

    thanks for putting me on to the JMRI group discussion.
    The remedy is to use the 'Print to PDF' option from the Win 10 print options window.
    I am leaving the computer set with the pdf option until I don't need to run more manifests...

    Thanks again,

    Gene
