@wombat457 is single-handedly turning the economy around, did you notice? He goes on a spending spree yesterday and Dow Industrial average soars 2000-plus points today.

    LEDs.jpg

Bought 2 packages of 30 LEDs each with attached wires and resistors to run on 9-12 V DC, not AC from Amazon. Edgelec brand costing $6.99 for 5mm LEDS & $8.99 for 10mm LEDs. These s/b large enough to light up buildings. Not for engines using DCC.

    Really nice!
do you have a shot of them, (they were on the bottom of the pile above) and what are your impressions?

I recently found out that (drilled out) they were the basis of the NLA SBS4DCC caboose lighting kit, but Ericís picture of them is poor.
are you planning to drill them out and light as well, or run as is?

    back on topic,

bought a Dutch Cleanser car to make into a track cleaner car, and some caps to use with the NCE lightit! I have for cabooses so they wonít flicker.

Purchased them with the intent of drilling them out and mounting a 0402 in them.
Think a #80 would do but I don’t have anymore left.
Could almost just use the LED without the casing, after careful painting the back and sides black.
    Jury is still out.

Boosting the economy again by buying this stuff for the scenery:

Woodland Scenics #1219 - Slate Gray Terrain Paint
Woodland Scenics #1228 - Green Undercoat Terrain Paint
Woodland Scenics #1229 - Earth Undercoat Terrain Paint
Woodland Scenics #1223 - Yellow Orcher Terrain Paint
Woodland Scenics #1222 - Burnt Umber Terrain Paint
Woodland Scenics #1221 - Raw Umber Terrain Paint
Woodland Scenics #1218 - Stone Gray Terrain Paint
    0402 Cool White - 10 Pre-wired #0402 SMD LEDs - Cool White
Woodland Scenics 50 - Earth Blend Fine Turf (Bag)
Woodland Scenics 49 - Green Blend Fine Turf (Bag)
Woodland Scenics 46 - Weeds Fine Turf (Bag)
    Woodland Scenics #1278 - Talus - Fine - Gray
Woodland Scenics #62 - Coarse Turf - Burnt Grass

Yeah I know, WS stuff which I am generally opposed to; however, their pigments aren't too bad and do seem to work half decently for rocks.

I bought the "Pre Wired LED's" for the buildings that are coming and hope they will be okay for that purpose.

Moose is still trapped in the train room, trying to organize moose mess ... Mrs Moose came by this afternoon, tossed a few stale biscuits Moose's way and then - wham! - nails Moose in the side of the head with something heavy!
