    Speaking of, who is the manufacture of those well cars? Because some of the wheels on your cars sounds like they have flat spots on them. It sure gives your train a realistic sound with the metal wheels. Also that second unit looks like the decoder is over heating, because it's acting like a Lionel train. It is smoking a little. You might want to check out this issue.

    @MoPac

    Darn it, your right .... well, I checked it all out this morning and it seems as though some of those cars do have bad wheels and have caused irreparable damage to sections of the track work ... looks like I'm going to have to rip it all up and start again

    Time for the "maintenance crews" to earn their income

    The maintenance guys were hard at work over the weekend and this afternoon ridding the area of surplus "poo" that accumulated over the years. They have "cleaned up" about 1/4 of the area and will be back on the job tomorrow all going well; however, this is not going to be as quick a clean up as I first imagined. It's incredible how much "stuff" you accumulate over the years, heck I found stuff I'd forgotten I had and multiples of things I thought I didn't have and bought again

    With that in mind, and considering my "how to determine DC from DCC engines" I am contemplating putting together a small "Test Track" using some of the stuff I may have otherwise thrown out. Aside from that, I am getting impatient and tired of not having a layout of some type to "play with"
    Cheers Tony

    Have spent some of the afternoon with the "maintenance guys" helping them (aka me) continue with the cleanup. After rolling up our sleeves and biting numerous bullets, we seem to be about 2/3 rds finished the job. I can actually see the floor of the room again discovering I have "green carpet" - that'll have to go

    At the "rapid rate" the guys are moving, there is a pretty good chance that THE build may commence this week end .... ooh now I'm getting excited
    Cheers Tony
