Default Any members doing Free-moN in the Montgomery, Alabama area?

    Howdy Folks!

I've recently started building my first Free-moN module consisting of two 4' sections. I'm going to be taking them to the N-scale National Convention in Nashville in June, assuming it won't be cancelled by the Corona virus.

I'd like to connect with people in my general area who are making Free-moN modules or are interested in starting, in fact, I'd like to start a regular meeting in a suitable place, wherever that might be.

If you are interested, please post in this thread or PM me.

    Cheers!
    Glen

I am close to Mobile Al and we have a T-Trak club. I always liked the idea of Free-moN but everyone here was already doing T-Trak.

There are some examples. I filmed this at the Mobile train show not long ago.

Glen, glad to see you looking to grow your group here too!

I'm hoping Nashville Show stays on target but I'm worried.

Russ, Are you considering doing both?

@grweldon build the FreemoN and like minded people will gravitate to you. Every area just needs one person to be the catalyst. Get on the FB groups and people will start popping out of the woodwork.

Well, so far the "group" is just me. I was talking to a guy who was building 2 modules for Nashville. It got me so excited that I started and am continuing to build two modules for Nashville. I have my hotel reservations already and paid my entry fee. Hopefully the end of June will find us in a different situation, but I'm 80% sure that it will be cancelled.

I'm on the Facebook group "Free-moN Model Railroading" plus about 6 more railroad related groups. I'm not getting any response to my queries about people interested in making modules...

I'm seeing you on Fb often. Just keep plugging away. It doesn't happen over night sometimes. Hangout at local train stores or rail-fanning places. Go check out local train shows. It took me a few years to join group I kept seeing locally. Just be positive and encouraging.

Things were slow to start here in Vegas. I just sold a friend a bunch of modules, I’m building myself some new ones (I’ll post pics here in a couple weeks), and I’m doing a build party as soon as quarantine is done to help another friend get his modules going. That will make 4 of us in town with a combined 140’ of modules. I think that will help spark interest from some more people. Every area just needs a catalyst to get things going.
