    Question Residue on chassis Question

Is there any way to remove the white chalking looking residue on the chassis of a Micro-Trains box car without damaging the black paint on the chassis? I was going to experiment, but I thought I better ask the experts first. I can't seem to get a photo to upload. Thanks, Smitty

That's very like zamac or zinc corrosion. Try this: https://www.hobbytalk.com/threads/cl...-zamac.360953/

You may need to repaint the frame afterward. Flat black in a spray bomb ought to do.
