    Default Canadian Online stores

Looking to make a thread of Canadian online stores for buying N Scale products as of 2020. I know there are a few, just looking to find more. Where I live in Brandon, MB there is only one place that has model railroad stuff, and it's a very small selection for n scale. It's called Janzens Paint and Hobby, they have a main location south of Winnipeg with a bit better of a selection. In Manitoba, there a few other places but none have online ordering and don't feel like driving 2 hours, especially now with COVID-19.

I would like to order more stuff from Canadian sites, but have found I have to rely on American sites because they have more of a selection and what I want. Just ordered a BLI ES44 from Model Train Stuff in Maryland. They had one in Canadian Pacific and $100 less, even after shipping and exchange. Not sure how much the Duty will be on it, but still not much more.

The only one I have ordered from is Otter Valley.

Euro Rail Hobbies in British Columbia.

Mostly European, as the name suggests, but Walt and Jan are good people and do right by the customer. And the website is accurate about whether items are in stock. A lot of items that are not Euro-specific.

I'll add Black Cat decals to the list. High quality CP & CN decals with a few other road names chucked in.

    https://www.blackcatdecals.com/contact/

They have been more than helpful with my many odd requests !!
    Thanks, Tom

    Layout build: Akita Mountain

Loco builds: Canadian Pacific 4-4-4 Jubilee, The Canadian Pacific Mallet build, The Canadian Pacific Mikado build, A brace of 'Royal' Royal Hudson's,

Expect nothing except the opposite of what you expect, and then expect it to be something other than that ! Then that's about what it will be

British Model Trains LTD. at www.britishmodeltrains.ca Owner Nigel Doran. A little history I use all peco track and had been ordering from Steve at Model Railway Imports in St Catharines ON, no one could beat his price and stock, Steve retired and Nigel at British Model Trains in Cambridge On., took on Steve's stock. I have had 2 large orders this year with Nigel and all has gone well.
I have also ordered from CVRCO and Hobby Wholesale, no complaints
great Topic is there anyway we could compile a list at some point and make it a sticky some where?

There have been many times I have followed links for Canadian hobby shops from various sources that have become dead links. So having an up to date database of working links is great.

Yes, thanks for making it a sticky. It will be a great benefit for us Canadians trying to find an online sources that are in Canada. Even then you still really have to shop around to find what you need.

I’ll do one better than making this a sticky...
Over the weekend I’ll setup a sub-forum as a Links Directory.
This will take the place of the now defunct Links Directory tab.

I used to use PWRS (I don't any longer), but although they have a United States store, I always seemed to receive item from Canada (with extra VISA charge and shipping). And this is after their mandatory 40 minute sales pitch on how to use their website. Plus I believe their prices were too high.

There is www.trainsandsuch.com, a Calgary Brick and mortar store that have a lot of N Scale locos, cars and buildings. Unfortunately they do not put everything on their On Line Shop. Then if you look for something specific, give them a call or an email. They are friendly and they know their stuff.

This is my favorite place to shop Fast Tracks https://www.handlaidtrack.com/

Would it be potable to have a place for manufactures promotion codes ( like with this code you will get 10% off your next perches ) Just a list that we all can share when we find these codes. It would be nice to save a little money now and then.

The promotion codes would be great. And deserves it's own running thread.
