Default Feed unloading with loop track

I saw in another area a post about grain unloading using a loop track thought I would post this sat. link for a small one south of Fresno, Ca. at Traver, Ca. They use a SD38 remote control unit to switch with.

Interesting. I can see the SD38 but there seems to be another locomotive there as well? At least it looks like a locomotive but there's no roof fans and isn't similar to the covered hoppers....

When they first built the site they had a CF7 that they would park inside the unloading bay I don't know if they do that now. Take a look at the Western Milling site at Goshen about a mile or so south it's tucked into the junction Y out to past Lemore N.A.S. with some sidings on the leggs.

Just looked at that again one time I saw a switcher called a Green Goat there, UP had one at the Fresno yard for a while but I have not seen it since I saw it at Traver, but that was several years ago. I think that's it. Green Goats have 4 Cummins engines that start and stop according to load on the engine.
