Moose always look forward to photos of your purchases!

Hmmm, one of those cars looks straight out of a Harry Potter movie. Does it fly...
Would you be mad if I said I've never seen Harry Potter?

    Gasp!

Moose wouldn't be mad ... Well, not stampeding mad ... Hmmm, but there be trains in those movies, sooo, well, but you're purchasing nice British outline models, sooo, ahhh, dag'gum'it! To stampede or not to stampede, that is the question... Oh, just buy another Graham-Farish steam locomotive and Moose'll forget your slight... Yeah, that's a win-win for everyone ... except the Harry Potter movies have steam trains, and...

Moose no know what to do...

Oh wait, you're talking about box cars! Never mind...

Wow that month flew by. I bought (and made) a lot of trees. I also ordered a LokSound equipped GP30 for a WC project after I finish the WC GP35 and GP40.

Has Moose watched the 'Heartbeat' series? 1960s Yorkshire police series. There's a police car just like that in the series...

And a point of clarification here....Red levers are signal levers, black levers move the points (switch). When the levers are back, the signals are at 'stop' and points at normal (spent 15 years battling manual lever frames in Sydney, 84 levers the largest frame I operated)

I don't know, what's on there is usually different to what's on here. I was given 12 seasons on CD and watched it that way.

Received a box from Tichy Models, 17 of their GS gon kits. As they're kitbash fodder for an earlier 1910 era composite gon with wood ends, I picked up some car siding to replace the ends. Also some C section reinforcing and a new tube of glue. All set for my next 2 week stint away (most of which will be night work so can get stuck in to my new fleet).

    Cheers,

Picked these two locomotives up on Friday though they arrived at the LHS last month. Didn't have the chance to get over there until now due to life.

First is the new Athearn F59PHI Amtrak Cascades 469 DCC/Sound. This forces me to get more productive on my layout build and my Cascades project that has been dormant for the last couple of years.

The second is the Rapido BC Rail C-40CM 4619 DCC/Sound. Played with this a whole lot on Sunday. I think this is my new favorite loco!

Default Picked up the Broadway Limited set from Kato

A little background, when I was a young child, I'd go to the hobby store with my Grandmother and see these tiny maroon passenger cars on display. As life went on, I realized they were early n scale and Pennsylvania. A good part of what landed me in n scale was the memory of those tiny perfect train cars. This November I finally broke down and made a big addition to the fleet, I picked up Kato's 2 sets of Broadway Limited cars and 2 of their E8's. Just thrilled with the workmanship on these and that maroon paint definitely makes my hear sing.

I have this locomotive as well. It has also become my favourite. I am anxiously waiting for their VIA F40PH-2D to come out.

I picked up two packages of the ModelTech Protrack Rail Aligners (RAS09001) https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/40...k-Rail-Aligner. I'm planning a doorway liftout section and thought these could me me out a bit. I'm nowhere close to that point, but I thought I'd grab some while I can.

Was hoping for a last delivery today but no luck. That said I have acquired the following since my last posting. The latest Walther's catalog and some Testors paint from my LHS. I really have no idea why I bought the catalog since it is out of date the moment it is printed and no where near inclusive. Force of habit perhaps. Faller Glue because it was the only one I could get with a needle applicator and etched brass chairs by Gold Medal Models rom Model train Stuff in Baltimore. I haven't built any etched medal objects yet so this will be an learning experience. Lance Mindheim's book "How to operate a modern era switching layout" through Amazon.
    20201125_215428.jpg
A Bachmann old time flat car and a small pair of spring loaded needle nose pliers from a hobby shop that is really a section of a hardware store. The car is for my Christmas tree layout and the pliers because I wanted another small pair of needle nose pliers. The Scenery items from my other LHS or the real one at least.

    20201128_132004.jpg
Last item is a book on modern freight cars from Kalmbach direct from them. They had a sale and I have been wanting to learn more about freight cars.
    20201130_202549.jpg
Two more packages ordered but not arrived yet will have to go on next months list. Cheers all. Stay safe and model on! Maurice

Some of this stuff came last week but between work and sleep and just not having the enthusiasm to get into things... I've been delayed into opening/inspecting recent purchases:
