Woo Hoo! Amtrak coaches, lounge, and sleeper are on the way. But no locomotive. So a quick visit to the Local Hobby Store and look at what I found... Amtrak GE P42 40th Anniversary Phase IV Kato, new in the box at a used price. Still have to unpack the detail pack and attach them.

Waiting on some online orders but here is what I purchased locally today.
A roll of green FrogTape masking tape from the local Lowe's. A piece of strip balsa wood and Testors flat white paint for the company house kits I am building. The Atlas Conrail flat car is because I have no will power and it was just sitting there in need of a home. Stay safe all. Maurice

Here is the county courthouse in Prescott, AZ. I couldn't find a kit close to what I wanted and I'm not adept (yet) at scratch building. So, this was custom made for me by Right On Track Models. I think they did an amazing job on it and even installed lighting compatible with W.S. Just Plug system.

Here is an Google Maps overhead view of the courthouse (hasn't really changed much since the 50's, which I'm using the recreate on the layout.

Here are the trees (JTT trees) that I'll use to surround the courthouse...

I'm also in the process of replacing all of my turnout (servo) motors with DCConcepts Cobalt IP Digital turnout motors. (These are super-easy to install and configure in the ESU ECoS DCC Controller.)

Also picked up all that I needed to implement the double-track crossing signal... this is from Logic Rail Technologies and N.J. International.

And lastly, these I purchased here from @SteelWheels ...

Amtrak superliner Phase IV Set A2 arrived today. Coach Baggage, Coach, Diner, Sleeper. The old pullman passenger cars on the layout have been moved over to a static display to make room for the modern train to arrive and offload at the passenger station.

I've lived in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York (Yonkers), Fort Wayne and Reno. Of all the places I've lived, this is easily the nicest place so far. The people are friendly and we have all four seasons (LOL).

The S2a has a wheelbase that's closer to the Bachmann 2-10-2. But, the Selkirk's is almost spot on for the Concor chassis.

I pushed on till late last night with work on the Hudson as I'm itching to get started on this new project. It's going to be a good un

I Just received the sister unit to my Walthers life like GP18 in the mail today. Obviously the original owner had two of the same. Instead of renumbering them he changed the logo. With a wet Q-tip & my fingernail. I was able to remove the decal.

A year's worth Model Railroader back issues. 1999 to be specific. Wanted to see the sister layout of the famous N Scale Carolina Central, The Arkansas Missouri!!!. Cheaper to buy a dozen mags even though I just needed three.
