Got seriously tired of over-priced N scale (especially DCC Locos that you have to send back to factory for repairs). Ordered a Silver with Cranberry interior Mercedes Benz C300 Coupe with the AMG and Night Packages. If I'm going to throw money away, I may as well go big time.

Just bought 4 pairs of JTC containers, a couple WS scenery items, a Tortoise machine and some Athearn 36" metal wheels from a certain suburban Baltimore-based online hobby shop and I don't care because my birthday is coming up later this month!

I almost splurged on an Atlas UP GP-39 with sound, but I was disappointed that it doesn't come with ditch lights, until I realized Atlas has a GP-60 with sound coming out soon that does have ditchlights, so I'll hold my splurging out for that one.

5 x Digitrax DZ123 hard wire decoders to continue the push of DCC-fying some of my older engines.

I hope to do a few installs this weekend... and then I'll post pics. (Hoping that will serve as a pass from the Picture Patrol )

I'm not allowed to run the train, the whistle I can't blow. I'm not allowed to say how fast the Railroad Train can go.
I'm not allowed to shoot off steam, nor even clang the bell. But let the damned Train jump the track, and see who catches hell!

Thats fine.... I just thought that you would have preferred the pretty pictures of the DCC-ified 2-8-0 Consolidation over some pictures of boring decoders.
    Decoder pictures it is!

Hope the Stampede Crew recovers soon...... someone needs to keep us honest!

Social distancing is tricular, but Moose has instituted protocols for the 12 foot rule. Oh yeah, it's 12 foot when yer'a stampedin'!

Oh, they were all wearing masks too. Okay, one of them was wearing it as an eye patch, thinkin' "that'd be funny." Yeah, not so much, now is it!

As Moose always says [lately]: "It's all fun and games until some one gets the virum! Put 'er on correctly!"

Which event leads to yet another "What'd you buy this month?" question, the answer being either "Boxers" or "Briefs."

Got a bunch of pre-owned cars from a modeling friend:

Someone already changed all the trucks to MTL (that weren't before). And the non-leaf-logo ADM grain cars seem to be from a newer series than the others, because the build date is actually readable on them and not just a blob of pixels, plus they already had metal wheels.

On all the other cars I exhausted my supply of FVM metal wheels after the picture. Hope someone finally makes some 36" metal wheels for MTL trucks again...
