    Default Freight car series... please stop!

    Let’s hope a certain company in Oregon doesn’t read the comics to get ideas about yet another ridiculous “series” of freight cars....

    Dag'gum'it @Jimbo !

    Ya made Moose spill [spit really] coffee all over the cat!

    Do have to wonder: who buys those? Are any of their series reflective of prototypes?

    I suppose they must sell for them to keep producing them. And I can understand things like 'First responders' and 'Pearl Harbour' but they've never interested me.
    But if it does keep them surviving these days and producing items we actually do want to buy then I can tolerate it. Just as long as doesn't become their main focus to the detriment of their prototypical models.

    @mosslake

    Moose agree, but just surprised that there is a large enough market for these types of items. Although, Moose might be interested in the series that Jimbo's link suggests!

    With how N Scale collectors buy stuff, it would surprise me. I have zero desire to run “collector” cars. I do appreciate the prototype based cars graffiti cars MT has done, I’d like to see more of those instead.

    Or commemorative holiday cars commemorating commemorative coins commemorating commemorative iconic historical model railroad events like the aforementioned commemorative state cars?

    Full disclosure: I have been collecting cars commemorating model railroaders. In my my opinion, they represent prototype model railroads and celebrate some of the pioneers in our hobby. FWIW.

    Then they'd produce the Washington state fish commemorative boxcar to go with the MT&P RR layout's Westport scene: Steelhead trout (Salmo gairdnerii)

    Gordo drinks German lagers and pilsners.

    Guido drinks only red wine and owns a violin case with a Sicilian Strad in it, 30-round mag.
