I don't get too excited by Trainworx preorders anymore..........still waiting for the last ones I preordered (flexivan cars and trailers) over 2 years ago. They have nice stuff, but are almost worse than Intermountain for delivery.

Trainworx has a much better reputation.
They are and have been releasing things again.
Some of what they announced will be coming soon.
From what I heard, the Chinese companies are cherry picking what to produce.
Most of the delays have been due to the Chinese debacle.

Yeah Alan, I know not everything is under the manufacturers control. As I said, Trainworx has some really nice stuff........but really nice stuff doesn't do me any good if it never makes it into my hands. The Flexivan cars and trailers were from 2 separate preorders. I believe almost a year apart, and I lose confidence in a company that keeps pumping out preorders on products they can't deliver. I understand delays, but if there's problems why keep pushing more of the same product. If there was something in either of the new releases announced above, I'd still do a preorder, but I'm not going to get too excited waiting for it to show up. WHEN it shows up, then I'll get excited.

But Trainworx is not nearly as bad as Inter Mountain... I have a pre order from 2013! On the website its been Confirmed for Production for years as well.... When I email them its a smart #*$ reply every time.

Trainworx on the other hand has been more then courteous on any communication I have had with them, that fact alone causes me to give them a little more slack.

I think my preorder was thru Walthers.........but I never saw them show up ANYWHERE.....these were Milw and IC units. I've seen some other flexivans out there, just not mine, and in very limited numbers. I have some other pre-orders out there from Intermountain as well. Sadly, if you want something, you HAVE to preorder......you can't just wait till they show up and then buy. I haven't dealt with Trainworx directly, but I've had good service from Intermountain on warranty/repair issues. They've always come thru with parts (at no charge) when I've needed anything. Sometimes it takes 6 months, but they always come thru. With Intermountain, "confirmed for production" simply means they have enough preorders. next step is "queued for production", then "in production". It DOES seem like things sometimes stay at the "confirmed" level for a long time. The Trainworx stuff was announced in Feb. of 2018 with delivery in 4th quarter of 2018. The run from 2015 got delivered.
