    Default Game changer in Ballasting

    I came across this persons video a while back and thought that's a neat idea. He has now improved it and is working on a way to distribute it.

    Looks like an updated version of the vacuum idea.
    This was posted on YouTube 2010 and I think the idea turned up as an article in the January '78 Model Railroader.

    Kind of looks like he's making use of 3D printing and laser cutting to improve the older idea.

    How does the vacuum only remove the ballast he wants and not suck it all out?

    Presumably the wind speed is low in the dead-end pockets between the ties and fast where the wind has a through route to the nozzle.
