I've had my layout on the back burner for the last 7+ months (for "reasons"), but I finally got back into the groove recently. And just to sort of get my feet wet, I started out with some niggling little bits of yard detailing. To wit -

    A sign -

    Some barrels -

And then some more signs and some more barrels -

    And then some pickups -

This one being the inspiration for the more detailed one -

    To be continued....

Some greenery which will eventually reside underneath a bunch of junk -

A pile of dirt and a sign at the end of the RIP track -

I also fixed a bunch of Berkshire Junction "EZ Line" that decided to go all brittle/crumbly on me (grr) -

Continued work on my perpetually unfinished lake project -

Had a nice piece of custom wall art whipped up -

    To be continued....

Lastly, I cooked up this little duet of rusting snow removal equipment -

Let's say "loosely based" on these prototypes

That's all I got, your turn

I came home early today and the trash bins had been emptied already so I broke up the last bit of the old layout. So if I want to get my trains out of the box I best get a move on.

Feeling motivated to iron out the plan and get to it.

My depot relocation project is pretty much done.
(As well as the depot name signs - finally)

Nothing picture-worthy here: Reorganized my storage, realized I did have a few metal wheelsets leftover and so managed to equip all but three of my cars with metal wheels. The remaining ones will get BLMA replacement trucks which are on their way here. Also fixed the weight inserts inside one of my covered hoppers, reattached the running boards on another... and I finished that body mounting couplers project I started in 2017 or so - all my old cars are done now.

Now the new ones I bought last year and this year will need weathering first, then body mounted couplers. Good thing I wrote that long posting three years ago, though, because I basically couldn't remember how I had done it then
