@Intarsiabox - do you use those strips that are sold wound up like in a reel?

Stopped at my LHS today and picked up a few things. Left to right I bought a DPM kit as fodder for my next kitbashed structure. Some Bachmann details: mailboxes, park benches, trash cans, phone booths and seated people. A bag of leaf material, says HO scale but seems small enough for me. Finally a new pair of tweezers. I wish to note I resisted the temptation to purchase any freight cars this time. Despite the fact that he has gotten so many cars in that he is going to expand into another cabinet. I have started working with JMRI Operations Pro and while entering my cars I realized I have a lot of cars. I am trying to hold off on further car purchases until I find out how many I really need. Excepting the snow plow and caboose I have on order. Cheers all and stay safe. Maurice

    Post human delivered these today:

The roller test stand set which can be converted to use on various gauges from N to O 3-rail ... Not sure why a moose would need anything but N-gauge though...

The angle meter gaugey thing ... It may not have a brand name, but you can tell it is a quality product, because, ummm, it says so right on the packaging!

No, I use the Barrina 40W 5000K LED shop lights from Amazon. At some point in time I was thinking of adding the LEDs in a reel to use as night time effects

@Intarsiabox - Ok got it. I didn't know if shop lights or the rolls of LED's were used on peoples' layouts. Thanks for the info!

Some people use the rolls of LED's to light their layouts, I just don't have any experience at it so I can't comment on what type or how many to use, etc. It can be done though

I received my LED's on the weekend and hooked up the power tonight. My basement light switch only had 2 lights on it's own breaker so I added two plugs in series with the lights. There are a total of 15 light strips that I have separated into 3 banks of 5 lights each. This way I can turn the layout lights on and off with the existing light switch as well as turn off each of the 3 banks of lights with the power cord when I'm not working in an area of the layout. Now I just have to "borrow" some zip ties from work to clean up the wiring.

@Intarsiabox - that's quite a layout project you have going. The lighting really brightens it so you can see everything in nice detail.

I have "borrowed" things from work too.

Ohio N Scale Weekend didn't disappoint. Found a couple things that have been on my list for a while.

I had been wanting one of these cranes for a while now. I was able to work out a deal for the whole work train. Unfortunately it is in NYC markings, so that will be changed over to B&O in time.

These cars came in the work train deal.

Do I need a rotary snow plow, well No.... but they sure are cool and I had been wanting one for a while now. Again, NYC markings.... we'll see if it stays that. (Probably not).

Found this deluxe C&O flat car. This car is HEAVY. I was very surprised.

Finally found an engine fit to pull my C&O passenger cars. Older Kato with DCC installed.

Last but not least, 2 x KATO mikados to receive the DCC treatment and repaints into B&O. They'll need a face lift to appear more B&O.

I'm not allowed to run the train, the whistle I can't blow. I'm not allowed to say how fast the Railroad Train can go.
I'm not allowed to shoot off steam, nor even clang the bell. But let the damned Train jump the track, and see who catches hell!

That's quite a nice score you got - I especially like the snow plow.

https://lowellsmith.net/railsmith/ makes some unique n scale rolling stock including these fluted coaches in SP, and unique livery for other SP like this sleeper. Thought if I did not pick up soon
    they would be gone forever.

    Just another n-scaler.

When I bought the last batch of double stake cars I lost an auction for an additional one from the same seller. For various reasons the winner of the auction withdrew his bid and the seller then offered it to me with a very reasonable shipping cost. Naturally I pounced ...

Also picked up a couple of Atlas steel coil cars, although I have no steel industries - what a great excuse to get one!

I splurged on some N scale stuff over the weekend. I also picked up a few items a week or so ago. Haven't bought a ton over the last few months.
