    Default Kudos To Atlas

Dave S' thread about the detail, quality, and sound of BLI locomotives versus other makes is what prompts this thread. I just received Atlas' latest C420, and compared to even their first release the detail is outstanding, and available new for less than 100.00. Can't tell you about sound because I don't use it but detail is next level.
While I was looking it over I noted something on the frame that is barely legible and that seriously doesn't need to be there but I'm guessing it is on the 1:1 version so Kudos to Atlas!
And to think, not that long ago the best you could get for a C420 was an MRC that was laughable at best.

Point is that mainline volume manufacturers detail is every bit as good as the boutiques, grab handles not withstanding.

IMG_3754.jpgI agree, the detail is very nice. My C420 is one of my favorites.

I just got one a few weeks ago painted Tennessee Central. Looks great. Just be careful what you say about that old Model Power C420; there's folks around here that think they're the pinnacle of N scale.

I have an old MRC SCL one and it runs smooth as silk, as they say.
