Post Weekend Update (23rd Jul 2021)

Please update us on the progress you have made on your MRR projects this week (commencing: 23rd Jul 2021).

This weekly thread is to post little snippets about your layout/project progress.
This is not be a substitute for your layout build thread, but just a mini update on what you got done for the week.

You can link from your layout build thread to your posts in this thread as a part of a more extensive post there, or visa-versa (post to your build thread and link to that post when contributing to this thread.

Click on a post's #number (right-hand end of the post header) to get the URL to that particular post in your browsers address bar.
Copy and paste this as needed.

So, fellow nSn'ers, what have you been up to this week?

I have spent the last few days working on scenery for my fishing dock area. Mainly making trees, planting them, and putting down scrub.

Warren, that's looking fab. Captures the feel of a nice day out lake side. Keep up the good work
    Thanks, Tom

Bought the Woodland Scenics benchwork as have been having a hard time getting someone to help me with stage. So this was a test to see what this product is like and maybe get me started.

    Comes together pretty easily

Built the long and square modules. Overall I like them but want to add a second deck to keep British and Southwest separate. I may be better off going with http://www.miannebenchwork.com/ to get it perfectly fit? Regardless these will be good for small projects if nothing else.

    Just another n-scaler.

This has all been done over the past three or so weeks, but with planning for my vacation for last week, I didnít get a chance to post anything. Basically I put down the roadbed for the loco and rolling stock servicing building, installed all the switches and feeders, and am now starting to put down some ties:

I realized that when the tracks enter the servicing building Iíll have to provide for servicing pits for the locos so Iíll need to make at least the ground level of the facility and embed it in the foam before extending the tracks through it, so Iíll just bring the tracks to the doorways for now.

Due to the ever mounting pressure being heaped onto me by our very own el Gato Gordo. I felt I had to post something to keep him from my door. As I have nothing to show, I thought I'd give this making videos buisiness a go. I've never spoken to a camara before but if you want to hear me rabbiting on and on about not a lot ? You will find it here
    on post 217 Akita Mountain
    Thanks, Tom

Haven't done anything modeling wise lately , but at least this weekend I had a good reason for it, I was in the Hospital from Thursday till today, second time I have pulmonary embolism in both lungs, I was coughing up blood so they had me stay for a few days till they could set me on blood thinners. All is well , just very tired and lots of healing to do.
As long as I can model in N-scale, I know I'm not old

My club resides in the basement of an old schoolhouse, and again this year during the summer break, the club borrowed the school gym to set up a modular layout for the members to test modules, electronics and rolling stock. No ops, no eras, no rules, just running whatever trains we want. I brought some of my latest aquisitions and other stuff that hasn't been running after being DCC'ified.
