Default Something to be aware of with Kato Signal Light 20-605

I just purchased one of these lights along with the Kato Power Supply 24-844 and the attachment to my transformer Kato 24-829.

Kato tells you that these lights will only work with DC but do not work with DCC. Since I have a DC system, I purchased the light and the other components I needed to hook them up. When I connected the signal lights they did not work properly. After much head-scratching and trying various things I still could not get it to function as described (whereby the lights change colors after the train passes by (over) the signal unit). What I discovered was if you are using a Kato Sound Box on your DC layout, the lights will not function as described. There is nothing in the Kato Instructions that warns you of this. But as soon as I disconnected my Sounbox, they functioned properly.

So I just wanted to post this for any members who run a DC system with a Kato Sound Box. I am not sure what I am going to do at this point. Maybe I will take the unit apart and wire it so I can control the light functions manually.
