Post Weekend Update (1st Jul 2022)

Please update us on the progress you have made on your MRR projects this week (commencing: 1st Jul 2022).

This weekly thread is to post little snippets about your layout/project progress.
This is not be a substitute for your layout build thread, but just a mini update on what you got done for the week.

You can link from your layout build thread to your posts in this thread as a part of a more extensive post there, or visa-versa (post to your build thread and link to that post when contributing to this thread.

Click on a post's #number (right-hand end of the post header) to get the URL to that particular post in your browsers address bar.
Copy and paste this as needed.

So, fellow nSn'ers, what have you been up to this week?

I have been working on a project for a buddy that's taken way too long. Got 2 switchers finished up this weekend. Still need to do handrails and reinstall glass etc.

In the early days of Conrail there was a too brief spritz of color running on PRSL rails.
As on the prototype the CNJ Red Baron crosses Olive Street.

Very little progress this weekend. Emphasis on little, as in "tiny".

I have a row of shops: Restaurant Sporer, named after my wife's family; Modellbahn Gordi, my personal model train store; and Bakerei Käthe, since my wife likes to bake. In the window of the train store is a photo of a layout.

Just something I nabbed off Google Images. Then last week I had a forehead slapping moment. Why didn't I put one of my layouts in the window?!!

So this afternoon that is just what I did.

Unfortunately in the process I got a smudge of something on the window, just to the right of center. It blurs a little bit of the view. Sigh!

Inconsiderate window shoppers sticking their face to the glass, again?

I don't always stop for trains, but when ... oh wait!, Yes I do.

In my limited travels in Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland) one often had to search to find local cuisine, passing by Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Italian restaurants. Pizza places are everywhere. I won't even mention the number of American fast food chains.

I've made a video from the informal module setup at my club last week.
No prototype ops, no eras, no geography, just running whatever trains we felt like.

I was able to get a bit done last week, these two turnouts I needed were built:

I laid some, rail too, but the picture is so burry it’s trash. Next week!
