Default What are you buying this month (December 2022)?

One more package in the mail as December has arrived: Vehicles from Panzer-shop in the Netherlands

    Front row, left to right:
    - Land Rover 110 hardtop (because they didn't offer a 109 (which I've owned IRL))
    - Land Rover 127 softtop (because it's cool)
    - VW LT35 pickup

    Rear, left to right:
    - Mercedes Unimog (which was what I was really searching for)
    - IFA W50 crane (which saves me from bashing a crane on to the Unimog)
    - Front loader with forks

And that will pretty much be the future engine facility workfleet ...

Inspired by the discussion in ger deguelle's Colorado Layout build thread this past few weeks:

She Who Must Be Obeyed has decided that, yes, we do need a 3D printer, and I need to learn how to use it well enough to make her the occasional kitchen or sewing-room gadget part as well as N scale stuff.

Order was placed this afternoon before the Cyber Week sales ended. In all likelihood it's going to sit for a few weeks or months before I have time to learn to use it, but I anticipate needing it before Cyber Monday 2023.

Also won an ebay auction for some additional rolling stock today. Now I need to find a new consulting customer so I can pay this month's credit card bill

A pre-order from Atlas via ToyTrainHeaven arrived today. This caboose is used to transport employees of Air Products who accompany their special loads, usually "High and Wide". The Air Products plant in Hanover Township PA, USA used to ship large constructs such as heat exchangers, often to the port of Philadelphia for shipment overseas.
    Here is the prototype.

    Default Train Show Snags

Went to the Train Show in Mass yesterday...HO is king!! Not much in the N department. One guy had alot of rolling stock, but it was laying vertical in the boxes, so you either had to pull each case or try to read the end label. While three or four other people are doing the same thing over your shoulder. Annoying. There seemed to be fewer vendors, but maybe that was because it was just trains and not a train / toy combination.... Business was brisk, with the usual old head, but there was a good bit of young blood along with their bored girlfriends. Haha. Way to humor your man, gals. Next stop, Amhearst Jan 2023!! My credit card is in afib....Bring me some money, Santa!! Moose? Short term loan?

Some scenery and a GP18 to add to the fleet....

    And some plaster cloth.

Items from different sources; A couple of finished trucks, and pairs of buses and fuel trucks also with a water trailer, all 3D printed and from two providers, a couple of periodicals with a picture book (lacked the data I would have liked, but views of some cars I hadn't seen) from the LHS in Pasadena as well as scoring decals for the E-2's and early issue Kato UP passenger car set that was sold without car names of numbers.

Asking @Moose2013 to loan you money after posting that you purchased a "diseasel"..... I'd hate to see the Interest Rate of that loan!

I'm not allowed to run the train, the whistle I can't blow. I'm not allowed to say how fast the Railroad Train can go.
I'm not allowed to shoot off steam, nor even clang the bell. But let the damned Train jump the track, and see who catches hell!

Surely he only purchased that, that thing, in order to recreate a scene from the Addams Family?

Since i am modelling Westeren North Carolina I will need allot of lichen. Someone breaking down a layout might have a bag or two. Rather than throw it away why not sell it to me.
    Thanks. Q
