    Default N scale Florida

    Hello Nscalers,
    I am in Florida next month, Miami, Key West and Naples. Does anyone know a N scale retailer in one or maybe at each of this towns?

    Thanks a lot for your help

    I haven’t frequented a brick and mortar down here, but a quick search comes up with a couple of candidates that are supposed to stock N;

    Family Hobby Center in Naples is close to the airport.
    Ready to Roll in Miami (north of Miami).
    Hobby Store in Kendall (outer suburb of Miami) not too far from the airport.
    And I think you’d come up dry in Key West looking for N Scale.

    I’m sure we have members closer to your target locations that will be able to provide better information.

    @Bryan about covered it.
    I haven’t been to these for years so call first and see if they are still there;
    Naples - Only one I am familiar with is Family Hobby Center Family Hobby Center then there is/was two Hobby Lobby’s one on the Northside and one on the Southside of town.
    Miami - Ready to Roll Trains One of the largest train shops in FL. Maybe the largest, had 4-5 layouts all running last time I was there. https://www.readytorolltrains.com/. Micro-Macro-Mundo was good when I visited. https://www.micromacromundo.com/ so was Texnrails https://texnrails.com but Brad travels the show circuit (was just here Saturday) so not sure who is minding the store. His mom was but she is quite elderly and has been with Brad at the shows, so be sure to call first. Several others in Miami which I can’t recall at the moment another large and well known one and several Hobby Lobby’s.
    Nothing anywhere in the Keys that I’m aware of.
    If you’re driving down Interstate 95 then Broadway Limited Imports is in Ormond Beach, next beach north of Daytona. https://www.broadway-limited.com/ Storefront was closed during Covid so call first to see if it’s open again.
    I’m in St Petersburg/Clearwater area and seldom travel further south for train shops than Gulf Coast Model Railroad Gulf Coast Model Railroad & Hobby Shop (gcmrr.com) in Sarasota. Bradenton is as far south as I go for train shows.
    If you can travel north of Naples up to the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area there is Caloosa Trains and Hobbys https://caloosatrainsandhobbies.com/ and also Victory Models and Trains https://www.victorymodels.com/ . Also a couple of Hobby Lobby’s there as well.

    Lots launches scheduled from Cape Canaveral for April you will be able to see them from anywhere on the east coast. Cape Canaveral Launch Schedule | Spaceline

    Enjoy your trip.

    Given my experience in Georgia, Hobby Lobby is a waste of time. Tiny selection of the worst HO Bachmann train sets, some extra track and generic Woodland Scenics flock/scatter. Bachmann N scale might be found with a determined search. Closed Sundays.

    Melbourne, Florida. Great store for n scale, large selection of newer stuff and older stuff. Owners are solid people who know their stuff.
