Post Weekend Update (19th May 2023)

Please update us on the progress you have made on your MRR projects this week (commencing: 19th May 2023).

This weekly thread is to post little snippets about your layout/project progress.
This is not be a substitute for your layout build thread, but just a mini update on what you got done for the week.

You can link from your layout build thread to your posts in this thread as a part of a more extensive post there, or visa-versa (post to your build thread and link to that post when contributing to this thread.

Click on a post's #number (right-hand end of the post header) to get the URL to that particular post in your browsers address bar.
Copy and paste this as needed.

So, fellow nSn'ers, what have you been up to this week?

After adding 14 more pieces of flex track to staging I sat down to iron out a plan for the west end of my yard. I need to get this lower section built with at least the mainline running through to use as a reference for the double deck module along my garage door. I was afraid running the mainline along the back would create a bunch of wasted space, but I can live with this.

Not a huge amount of progress but I ended up designing and printing a drilling template for my mimic panel in Fusion 360. I should be able to re-use it to trace the lines after painting the panel white as well.

I did drill all the holes but neglected to get another photo yet, but will do so after cutting out the hole for where I will mount the round LCD display for the turntable control.

I've been making trees, after trying out a few different methods I've settled on rope fibers and twisted wire style. About 40 trees down, hundreds more to go!
