Post Weekend Update (2nd Jun 2023)

Please update us on the progress you have made on your MRR projects this week (commencing: 2nd Jun 2023).

This weekly thread is to post little snippets about your layout/project progress.
This is not be a substitute for your layout build thread, but just a mini update on what you got done for the week.

You can link from your layout build thread to your posts in this thread as a part of a more extensive post there, or visa-versa (post to your build thread and link to that post when contributing to this thread.

Click on a post's #number (right-hand end of the post header) to get the URL to that particular post in your browsers address bar.
Copy and paste this as needed.

So, fellow nSn'ers, what have you been up to this week?

Just finished installing a decoder in the Fleischmann V60.
It was my fiddliest install yet, but fairly straight forward, and it worked out fine in the end. The little switcher runs like a champ and crawls like a sloth.

I was able to build the frame and cut the tops to size for these two lower sections. The tops are not connected yet and I need to rip a section along the back for the slightly elevated double track mainline. I think I will paint the framework before attaching to make it a bit easier on me. I also need to add the backdrops.

Im on a bit a roll installing decoders. But when I removed the couplers from my FP45s, parts of one coupler disappeared. I don't know when, where and how that happened, because I though I kept good track of everything. Anyway, I decided to get all new couplers (Micro Trains 1015) which are now fitted on both locos. Job done.
