Default I say thanks to you all for the welcome

and I can see that we have some "characters" on here (oh that includes me OMGosh) ..... I am a long time modeler and started out with HO trains with my grandfather. Built a grand bunch of locomotives and rolling stock for a layout upon retirement which is now here (Just where did time fly) but don't have the room to build such a beast and decided to create the SP Steam to Diesel Era in N. This way I can run trains like my full Daylight consist (GS-4 of course). The HO has become a display collection and reminder of my Grandpa. I also have an interest in Aerospace Modeling (aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles) as shown by my username. I'm retired from high tech and of course have much more time indoors because of the pandemic. I look forward to being here with the Virtual Club on this site....

Don't worry about the threat of stampedes, just keep some of this on hand.
No guarantee it'll work, but it sure looks good.

Default East Denver Railroad Company - model railroad

Hello from Colorado. I own a modest N-scale layout called the East Denver Railroad Company. There are three locomotives to handle freight traffic between small yards in eastern Denver and Commerce City, Colorado. These "leased locomotives" are Union Pacific #3268, an EMD GP50; New York Susquehanna & Western #1804, an EMD GP18; Delaware & Hudson #7301, an EMD GP38. The Denver yard consists of the railroad's main office (a house), an operations office (an caboose shell), maintenance of way storage (cattle car shell) and a mechanical shop (box car shell.) The East Denver also "owns" two small box trucks for maintenance of way and mechanical service and two tank trucks to deliver diesel for the locomotives.

Hello, Doug Dilley (dilley340) here. I live in SE Michigan. I've been a member for a long time, but haven't introduced muse until now. I'm in the process of creating my 20' x 15' layout in the basement. The walls are up, electrical is in, the overhead lighting is installed as well as the masonite backdrop. I'm in the process of installing the around the walls benchwork which includes a peninsula.

Hello, @Vinny, from SE Colorado! Welcome - there are several of us in Colorado.

Welcome, also, @PennGetty2019! I'll be sure to check out your channel.

    And @dilley340, welcome!

It takes a few posts before one can show photos - and before one might be subject to a moose stampede for failure to do so - so be sure to ask questions, post comments about other members posts and layouts, and keep everyone informed of your progress. It is a very friendly and helpful group here, and a great place to get information - some helpful, some contradictory, and, very occasionally, a serious answer. Have fun!

    Icon7 Hi There!

    Hi,

I'm Hagen from Germany and I do N Scale.

I reentered the hobby in 2013, not in an armchair but on a couch. Me and my kids visited a small N Scale module meeting in early 2015. On the way home, my kids told me get rid of HO and do N scale. That's what I did.

In the meantime I built about 70 feet worth of modules. I try to participate in modular meetings of the americaN section of the FREMO as often as I can, without annoying my wife too much.

You might have seen some of my modules in the december 2020 issue of the N Scale Railroading Magazine.

    So, here I am

Welcome, @Hagen! I look forward to seeing photos once you have sufficient posts. I'm not sure how many posts one needs before being able to share photos, but if you comment on other people's layouts and ask questions and write about your modules, you will be there quickly.

There are several members in Europe on this forum who model North American railroading. I model German and European.

@Hagen Hello and welcome to the forum. Can you tell us a little of what you model, what era, what road, DCC ?

A big 'thumbs up' to your enlightened kids
    Thanks, Tom
