This, good sir, is what we'll be wanting to see:

That's all the NYC I've got but you'll find plenty on ebay. Those Hudson's pop up quite regularly and (from what I hear) aren't too bad to convert to DCC.

Now, let's not be hearing any excuses

What ever, just have a good time,
    Thanks, Tom

    I'm back!

Things kind of got away from me and I really didn't have the time to be online like I was. I've been stockpiling stuff and eventually get something going as far as a layout is concerned.

And of course there will always be question!

    Default Newbie

Hello all. I am new to N Scale having just picked up an Atlas S2 with sound and shopping for Micro trains rolling stock. I am planning on modeling the Central Vermont RR during the transition era. My layout is currently in the design stage still studying things like turning radii and design features. I will be using an NCE power cab.
    Thanx.

    Hello CVA-62 and welcome.

Sounds like you already have all the diesels you need, now for some steam ???

What size space do you have available for your layout ? Keep us up to date
    Thanks, Tom

Good morning, new here. I have been out of the hobby for maybe fifteen years but am looking to get back into things eventually. Just collecting ideas and solidifying plans for now, unfortunately the majority of my collection is HO and the N stuff I did have is ancient and middling quality, not go mention sitting somewhere in my parent's basement thousands of miles away. I think N is the way I want to go moving forward due to the more scenic scale size compared to HO and up. I hope no one minds but probably no pictures or anything for quite a while until I get everything situated and decide on the version 1 layout direction.

    Thanks everyone for the welcome.
I plan on modeling Conrail 1996-1997 just before the end.I haven't really decided on a plan yet just mainly "playing" with my new N scale equipment.

Do we get to know what road, and more interestingly to me, what era you're planning on modeling I'm glad you've seen the light and come to 'N' Twice as much space to play with ! Sadly not half as many locos to choose from though.

Looking at doing a 42" x 96" layout which will be wired and built with expansion in mind to an L shaped layout eventually. Looking to go with Peco Code 55 track and Peco UniFrog turnouts. I am looking to keep turn radii at 18" on the mainline. Most rolling stock will be smaller cars to fit with the transition era I am modeling.

As for steam, yeah, on the radar but not until the layout is a least functional. I have my eye on the Broadway Limited M1b with all the bells and whistles, no pun intended. This is NOT a correct loco for the CV railroad of the late 40's and early 50's but I am not that much of a stickler to having everything exact. An undecorated one with CV decals and she will look real nice. My buck, my luck, right? LOL. Here is a caboose I just finished working on a while ago. My first attempt caboose surgery. I gave up, for the time being trying to find a Bluford CV caboose, so decided to make one myself. Cheers, mates.
