    I'm going to redo this......
Hello group. My name is Nick I'm just getting back into N-Scale after a 5 year absence.... Life happens...(HO Brass).... but found the light again at the end of the tunnel, after going threw a couple of boxes in my garage. I'm going to start planning a layout and reacquiring some equipment. Hope to post layout ideas soon.

@Nick Lorusso Welcome back. Good you re-saw the light The light at the end of the tunnel 'is' a train, an 'N' train
    Thanks, Tom

Expect nothing except the opposite of what you expect, and then expect it to be something other than that ! Then that's about what it will be

    Hi Nick
Never tried my hand at HO brass kits, often thought of getting a 4mm DJH U1 garrett to build, but all I I have done when I was younger and a member of the 2mm group was a few Ultima brass kits.
    Anyway have fun.

    Default Hi

    Hi

New member here, new to N Scale trains as a hobby. I have a 4'x16' plywood layout I built in the shop which I am laying out Kato Unitrack in various configurations, learning how the trains, switches, etc. function, running my trains and having a great time. I have learned a TON by lurking around forums and various internet web sites, and thought it was time to jump into a forum and participate.

I am modelling Southern Pacific, going to be a desert layout with a mesa at one end for some topography. Right now everything is flat on painted plywood. Industries are a small oil field area, oil storage, and oil tank train filling siding, with worker camp/military base. SP Passenger train with pullman cars, mixed consist local train, a coal train I am going to transform into an aggregate/sand gondola train, and up on the mesa going to have a mining area. Starting from scratch, learning a lot, and having a lot of fun.
