    Hello,

Just registered and I'm very new to the hobby. Currently have a small 2x4 layout that's sort of stopped as I found American loco's and wagons after visiting a local exhibition so I'm now looking to build a small switching layout and I've posted in the planning section looking for help with it.

same here... I attended College in Western Pennsy and hope to model the PRR out there also!!

Love the scenery and elevation changes in that area where the RR rolls through, very scenic. Also, didn't PRR eventually turn into Conrail & then Norfolk Southern??

    Default Hi All!

My name is Joe from Ontario, CA. While I do not currently have a layout I intend to finally give it go soon. I discovered this site through following Chris Kilroy's amazing layout.

Been a railfan all of my life and have a currently hibernating site at http://www.chasingsteel.com.

Look forward to being a contributing part of the group here. From what I have read thusfar there all a ton of helpful (and funny!) lurking around this parts.

    Joe

Hi ... My name is George but on here I'm windber500 . I have a N-scale layout that took about 6 years to finish ( but are we ever really finished ) . I built it for my grandkids and they love playing with it . It's based on Pa. coal country around Johnstown and Windber . It's not perfect or near as nice as those in magazines or many of yours but we like it . I have 3 lines which I run with 3 separate transformers and 1 extra transformer to run the lights . I want to convert it to DCC wireless but I have no train stores around me to get information on that so I hope to learn in here .
Thank you for the welcome , George

    Hello,

Had an HO set in my teens, now in my thirties, I picked up a few bachmann N scale starter sets. Lots of fun "playing" with model railroads being a little more mature.

The most fun so far is weathering the rolling stock, not going to touch the engines until I've got a tad bit more experience.

    Default Hi

Just sayin hi. I am just getting back into this after being away from the hobby for 25 years. Played around with HO scale as a kid but this is my first foray into N scale. Im starting with a simple 2x4 layout. I just laid down the roadbed yesterday and today is a track soldering day. I'll be sure to post progress pics.

Sorry you feel this way, on behalf of my fellows who somehow missed your post (assuming you return to see this), I would hope you would stick around and give us another chance.

And your second post is to say you're leaving? If you want friends you have to be a friend. Try a little harder. This is a great forum. It's incredibly unlikely that anyone here deliberately snubbed you. Sure you can just leave over your ONE post getting overlooked, or you can expend some effort and get to know the great people here. Try commenting on some threads or asking some questions. People here are very friendly and willing talk if you give them a chance.
