I would go for it too. I would do it as a decal. Draw jaws using a vector based drawing program (CorelDraw, Illustrator, Xara, etc.) and print it to decal paper. You will get awesome results.

That reminds me... in the last issue of one of the British Railway modeling magazines there is a couple of articles about snow plows for trains. Even a (I think) scratch built version. One of the pictires had jaws as well.

    Siderod

You might be able to buy this and try to shrink it.

BTW I've seen the real one and its pretty cool in a goofy sort of way.

    Wow...just wow...ummm

I've seen some pretty crappy attempts at modeling things before...but that one by far takes the cake, and from a Mass-producer no less! Where to begin pointing out the problems!

I admit, mine won't be perfect, BUT i'll at least chop the roof of the blade off!

AWESOME - and a definite eye-catcher sitting idle in the yard. You should definitely attempt replicating this bad-boy.

Reminds me of my favorite aircraft - the A-10 Thunderbolt. They always have the fanged jaws painted on the nose - This snow plow looks just like it
minus the 25mm cannon jutting out the front that the A-10 has....lol

    That would make snowplowing fun!!

Even though we are only getting ice tonight here in Atlanta.......oh joy!

I made sure I hit Lowes on the way home to get the stuff I needed to start my layout this weekend

How about using 1/72 scale warthog decals to adorn each side of the plow? Might even have 1/144 scale available too - two popular sized aircraft modles......
